Patarei Sea Fortress is a historically significant site with a deeply moving and often disturbing past as a former prison. Visitors appreciate its raw atmosphere and the educational value of its exhibitions, though its dilapidated state and seasonal closures can be drawbacks. The ongoing renovations promise a future transformation, but currently, access can be limited.
"Interesting historical object- first fortress, then prison. Object was abandoned for years, but soon it will be restored as multifunctional real estate. It is closed till may, sa definitely worth to come back! But now yard is open and coffee machine is working."

"THIS MUSEUM WILL BE CLOSED FROM THE 28th OF AUGUST 2022 FOR MAJOR RENOVATIONS WHICH WILL TAKE SEVERAL YEARS.
A very large complex which has a very sad and disturbing past. I have mixed feelings about this place. Should it be levelled and a monument erected to all that suffered and died here or should the living see the horror of the past?? It is quite distressing to read all the horror stories on display in the inhumane cells of this huge and very run down complex. All down to that warped ideology called communism and todays horrific events in Ukraine display that the horrors are still with us.
This is a vast complex and very run down and it costs €8 to get in. There are toilets outside but no refreshments available. Not today anyway. The nice guy in the ticket booth informed us that the place is closing down on the 28th August for several years for a complete renovation makeover. I will try and highlight this via google somehow."

"Luude dj event was very fun, the place itself gives off a great vibe, but if you had a normal pass you had to walk a minute to go to the toilet, otherwise very fun place. Vips had a special area with better weather coberage easier toilet access and an area in the back with many beanbags, which was nice."
