"As a child me and my friends used to do small adventure trips to Hietaniemi Cemetery, or walk through it when we went to Hietaniemi Beach. It was interesting to return there after so many years, now as a tourist.
Hietaniemi Cemetery is a very beautiful place to walk around. Many famous Finnish artists and some presidents of Finland are buried there. I think, for many visitors of Hietaniemi Cemetery, it is some kind of culture trip, looking for tombs of well-known people.
It was hot summer day when we visited the cemetery, and even though there were quite many people, many of them tourists like us, the cemetery was so peaceful and pacifying place to spend some time. Hietaniemi Cemetery is suitable for a bit different tourist day."
