What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate the museum's impressive collection of Finnish Orthodox heritage and the engaging smart screen exhibit. However, the ticket price is considered a bit high by some, especially when parts of the museum are closed for renovations. The lack of English descriptions for many artifacts is also a noted drawback.
"Sadly only half of the museum was open to the public due to renovations. No problem, but it felt not oké to pay €10,- for an adult to see only a small part of the museum. A museum which is on itself is already small. The entire visite lasted not more than 20 - 30 minutes.
It would have been nicer if the entry fee would only be half priced until the renovations are finished."

"I could follow the history line and pretty clearly yes. Maybe there aren't many things to be displayed but... The exhibition itself is not as big as I thought and very simple.
On the other hand, I don't doubt the rich value for each collection of course, but it is just regrettable that most collections didn't have any explanation or description in English."

"Amazing collection of the Finnish Orthodox heritage in Finland. I was impressed by the organization of the place which exceeded my expectations! and mostly by the historical reflection which was a very interesting part of my visit to the museum. Never miss navigating the photos and info on the smart screen there!
The ticket is a bit expensive in my opinion (around 20€), but it is worth. However, I visited when all museums of Kuopio were free of charge to visit. So that was a golden opportunity!!"
