"Amaizing stone-age village and natural museum, out of main roads and common tourists interes but totally worth it! You see ancient houses, ancient way of building them and the old ways of life and making things of a day-use. You try archery, stone grinding and painting, jewelery manufacturing and even log-canoeing on the river and you can roast you own sausage on the open fire."

"We have visited this Stone Age museum many times over the past 10 years, and it was always a great experience. The walking trails through the forest and to the ancient village are peaceful and well serviced, and activities like archery and Stone Age canoeing really bring history to life. I also had a chance to try the old wooden canoe there.
Check the webpage for the calendar of activities and come with kids!
You may also check out an indoor exhibition, cafe and part of the trail is full of ancient hunting traps (not really working but shows how complex the hunting process was in the past).
A perfect mix of nature, learning, and fun - highly recommended!"

"We both loved it all. My wife was particularly impressed with the museum and loved making a necklace. I was very impressed by the village. You definitely need to set aside a few hours to really enjoy it. If we find ourselves in Finland again, we will be back. - Kiitos"
