"Best place to stroll around Rovaniemi (10 mins walk from city center), very clear sign for walk trail. Be careful with slippery roads, and dont forget hiking staff/pole! I did the hiking end of March (temperature 0-3°C) so the snow is not on top of the trees anymore, but the temperature is just perfect!"

"Beautiful place, especially when the trees are icy and snowy. Steep walk up, but view from the tower worth it. 2 kota's to cook on and warm up. Take care crossing the cross country sky track. Parking was a little strange. Sat nav took us to the back of a residential area, so parking wasn't obvious. 2 mins walk to the start of the trail. Steps up the first section."

"This is a beautiful, well-marked trail through the woods of Ounasvarra. The path leads you past the Observation Tower and summit of the downhill ski slopes. There are plenty of entry points including some where you can park your car. The start of the trail near the main road (78) doesn't have parking but you might be able to find some opposite the supermarket and walk down the cycle trails from there. It's also an excellent running round (approx 9km)."
