The diverse landscapes, from sandy beaches to serene bogs, are a major draw, offering a peaceful escape from crowds. "It's probably the most beautiful national park in Finland. The views are breathtaking. There are several available routes with different from a few to 18 km long."
Jerzy Jasielec
"Tiilikkajärvi National Park is a true gem in the borderlands of North Savonia and Kainuu. For a bog fan like me, it offers trails on duckboarded bogs as well as esker pine forests, sandy beaches, and lakeside scenery. There are approximately 25 km/15.5 miles of trails, with starting points in Pohjoisniemi and Sammakkotammi. There are also some trails around Metsäkartano, where you can easily stay within a convenient distance to the Tiilikkajärvi trails. It's quite a distant national park and therefore not that crowded even during the vacation season. You can enjoy nature's tranquility and peace. There is a rustic open hut in Koseva and rental huts in Sammakkotammi and Uitto. The Uitonkierto circular trail from Sammakkotammi is 7 km/4.3 miles long and the Tiilikankierto circular trail from Pohjoisniemi is 18 km/11.2 miles long. I truly recommend this lovely and peaceful national park."
