What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Turku Art Museum is praised for its beautiful 20th-century building and its collection of Nordic, surrealist, and pop art, with a cozy cafe offering pleasant views. However, some visitors express disappointment if they expect a large amount of classical paintings, finding the modern art focus to be a 'scam'.
"A wonderful art museum inside a beautiful city palace. It is worth following the exhibitions in the place because it presents great diversity and there are always surprises... In addition, in the charming entrance space there is a homely and relaxed cafe, stylish as part of the wonderful period space."
Einat Schreibman Fainholtz
"Housed in a beautifully designed early 20th century building, the Turku Art museum has a great collection of artworks from the late 19th and 20th centuries, surrealism and pop art. The cafe at the museum offers a cozy atmosphere to grab a bite, and a terrace with great views if you wish to sit outside."
Shelley Slade
"It's a pure scam, do not visit it, almost no classical paintings, only modern "art" this is the worst museum I have seen in my life.
There is only a little room with classical paintings, I wanted to see Väinämöinen defending the Sampo painting.
All I saw was an awful modern joke for 8€ per person. This is a pure scam, I hope it gets closed soon. The worst experience I ever had in Finland"
