"We often stay at the Col Vert camp site at Lac de Leon. With three small children we can BBQ by the lake a watch them float off in safety in the warm, shallow lake with it's little sandy beaches. It is also only 5 minutes to the Atlantic rollers and great surfing for the bigger kids like myself."

"I have been coming here since I was 9, I am 59 now and now live nearby. I learnt to sail here, and windsurf. I often come her canoeing. The Lac and Courant d'Huchet are magical. the wildlife you see when canoeing is amazing, this is one of my happy places. As a child it was a place of Swallows and Amazons. I have written about it at length in 'Reflections on Water' (shameless plug, available on Amazon). If you have young children, bring them here for a summer, they will thank you time and time again. The Lac is perfect for boating, swimming and exploring, the only thing to watch out for are the 'Trapa Natans, (Water Caltrop, it's a plant, the seed pods are sharp), wear good water shoes!!! .This is a truly magical place."

"Very shallow water where you can't properly swim. The beach is not very large."
