What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Thermes d'Évian offers specialized programs that some visitors find valuable, particularly for expectant mothers. However, experiences can be mixed, with some guests disappointed by the pool not being thermal, additional fees, and inconsistent massage quality. Privacy in changing areas and a lack of on-site dining are also noted drawbacks.
"We were so looking forward to relaxing in the thermal waters before our massages. We arrived two hours before our scheduled massage. At that time, we were informed (by a rather rude woman) that:
1. There is no thermal water in the pool. It is just regular water.
2. The cost for the use of the pool is 15 euros each.
3. All pool occupants must wear a shower cap.
4. All men must wear Speedos.
Needless to say, we passed on using the pool. We sat in a "relaxation " room until our mediocre massage. Afterwards, we went back to the relaxation room, but the staff was already preparing to go home for the day, so it wasn't available. It was a very disappointing experience."

"It is relatively small. One small swimming pool, one jakuzzi, sauna and hammam. If you want to get a massage or other services, reserve at least 2 days in advance."

"I tried their programme for future mothers for 3 days from Tuesday to Thursday. It was definitely worth it!! I live in Switzerland and one massage session here for 1 hour usually costs CHF 110. This three day programme cost me €350 but it included not only facial and body massages but also a personal training session and an aqua exercise session! I learned a lot during these courses. You can also enjoy hydromassage (a bit like a jacuzzi in an individual room) everyday. I really recommend it for pregnant ladies! :)"

If visiting with children, it's best to focus on the town of Évian-les-Bains itself, which offers pleasant walks along the lake and family-friendly activities. 💰 Budget Travelers
To make the most of a budget visit, consider focusing on the town of Évian-les-Bains and its free attractions, like the lake promenade. The inclusion of daily hydromassage sessions further enhances the therapeutic benefits. When considering these programs, it's important to review the detailed itinerary and ensure it aligns with your personal wellness goals. The cost, while an investment, is often seen as justified by the breadth and quality of services provided within the package.
