Topkapı palace is in the same area as the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Basilica Cistern. However, it is a massive complex and takes at least a half day to explore. We spent 6 hours here and felt rushed towards the end. We definitely feel that we got our money's worth. The palace is also surrounded by a beautiful park. So consider saving some time to explore as well. #istanbul #turkey #topkapi #...

Reviews Summary

Guests consistently praise the Imperial Palace for its serene beauty and historical significance, offering a peaceful escape within Tokyo. The East Garden is a highlight, providing ample space for exploration. While some find the lack of direct palace access without a tour limiting, the overall experience is highly regarded for its tranquility and historical value.

"My wife booked a long weekend stay B&B for our wedding anniversary.
She mentioned beforehand that it was our anniversary and there was a chilled bottle of Tattinger in the room waiting for us. Room service then brought us a lovely gateaux. All complimentary which was so nice.
The room was large with a big bathroom and separate toilet and spotlessly clean. The bed was really comfy as well.
We really enjoyed the breakfast loads of choice buffet style and you could also order eggs Benedict, pancakes and other options off a menu.
We also tried the pool and spa which was small but very good. You just book an hour's time slot so it wasn't crowded at all.
The hotel is sat in lovely grounds overlooking Lake Annecy and there is a large terrace where you can have a drink or a bite to eat overlooking the lake.
The staff really were lovely and couldn't do enough for us.
The location is about 20-25 minutes walk from the main part of Annecy which we didn't mind so much as the walk is along the side of the lake.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and can't recommend the Imperial Palace enough and will definitely be back."

"We booked a terrace room for our 20th anniversary. The room was large, the terrace and views beautiful! It rained so we didn’t use it as much, but still gorgeous. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The spa pool was super nice. The location of the hotel is away from the city which we enjoyed. We would walk into town for breakfast and dinner. I wouldn’t pay for food at the hotel though as it’s overpriced. The valet was included which is great since we had a rental car. We would definitely stay again!"

Bailey Runkles

"Great view from our room. Love the live music on the patio. Nearby beach was the best! We did the 26 mile bike ride along the lake and thought our local beach was the best. E-bike rental was nice. Room is clean and housekeeping provided us everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Yann in “room service” was so sweet, thoughtful, & courteous. It’s a bit of a walk to the main town but that’s okay- the walk is lovely and scenic. Loved watching everyone relaxed, happy, active, etc.! We were here for two weeks, and this was the highlight of our trip! Even extended an extra night."
