"Beautiful location if you like ruins of buildings with a history. In this small park you will find the ruins of the abbey Saint-Ruf, within walking distance of the ring road around Avignon. If you are looking for a photogenic place for a special photoshoot, you will also find what you are looking for here. Small but beautiful. At this location there is also a playground for children and you can play petanque or jeu de boules. In principle, the park closes at certain times, but I was able to enter even though it was outside opening hours in July."

"Fantastic abbey. It feels like immersing yourself in the Middle Ages when the papal seat was moved to Avignon. Abbey can be visited with audio guide included in the price. The visit lasts about 2 hours listening to all the guided steps. The idea of an interactive tablet to discover curiosities about how they lived at the time is very nice. It is also possible to visit the room where the Sacred Rota met. Strongly recommended visit."
