Timing is Everything

Visit early morning for misty, cinematic views or late afternoon for golden hour light. Avoid midday heat and crowds, especially during peak season. Check weather forecasts, as heavy rain can make stream crossings tricky.

Gear Up for Adventure

Sturdy hiking shoes are a must due to loose stones and potential slipperiness. Bring plenty of water and consider mosquito repellent, especially in warmer months. Free parking is available but can fill up quickly.

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the Gorges du Blavet's magnificent red rock scenery and well-maintained trails, making it a peaceful and rejuvenating natural escape. While some find the latter part of a popular loop to be a sandy rubble path, the overall experience is highly recommended for its beauty and accessibility, even for families.

"Very nice walk that makes a loop. We followed the red and yellow trail then the red and yellow, which took us 2 hours, taking our time and taking photos. The parking is free but not too many places. There are several hiking trails that last more or less long. The path is well marked and maintained. Take good shoes because you can easily slip with the stones on the path. The place is famous for its climbing climbs."

Linda Pinard

"Very nice route, it's a shame that the end is a long boulevard of sandy rubble because the beginning is just magnificent. Done with a 9 year old child! Average difficulty because it's quite long (orange path then we find the red and yellow, i.e. 2h18 of walking for 7.4km)."

Julie M.

"Very beautiful place, nice and easy hike (We did it with two children aged 11 and 8). You just have to be careful during heavy rains the day before when crossing the stream. Do not do it in rainy weather and very beautiful climbing spot for a very good level."
