Reviews Summary

Visitors generally praise L'Atelier du Chocolat Musée du Chocolat for its fun and educational experience, particularly the chocolate tasting and demonstrations. While most employees are noted as friendly and helpful, one review mentioned a negative encounter with a senior staff member. The tasting station's cleanliness was also questioned by one visitor.

"Fun museum tour, with the entry price. The chocolate sampling at the end was also fun. Everything is translated in multiple languages including English."

Gene Dinkey

"You can book the tours very easily online. We did it in one of the shops. The two people working in the shop in the museum were very nice and could speak English very well. Almost everything is also written in English. They even offered to change the video that usually runs in French to the video in English. You can watch them working in the factory. Very interesting. They have a little activity for children at the end. My daughter loved it. Trying the chocolate at the end was of course the best. The man working at the shop explained each piece of chocolate very well, and it was very interesting. Of course we couldn't leave empty handed."

Irene L

"This is THE place/palace of Chocolate!
The museum offers a nice trip through chocolate history. In particular, it explains how Bayonne has become the chocolate capital city in France.
The visit ends with a delicious tasting. Guided by an expert, you can taste different flavors of chocolate and also share your feedback. Kids are even offered a workshop … (this is a surprise!)
Last but not least, the shop is a great opportunity to purchase top quality products for a reasonable price."
