What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Mont Canisy Battery for its fascinating WWII bunkers and stunning panoramic coastal views, calling it a hidden gem. While the free entry and historical exploration are highlights, some note the scarcity of picnic tables and the challenging terrain for those with mobility issues.
"This was brilliant as our children love exploring old bunkers and there were LOADS of them - between 10 and 15.
We were hoping to have a picnic up here following the Google Reviews I had read. We lugged our picnic up a massive hill to discover there were no picnic tables that we could discover. We loved exploring the bunkers but bear in mind that picnic tables are not common. We didn't find any."

"Interesting place, a hidden jem for sure. It's free to enter as well, just a public park."
Oliver Robinson
"This is a must see! When traveling to Normandy, this is definitely a stop that has to be made. It really sketches a good picture of how it must have been during WWII. Massive bunkers, kraters, great views of deauville, Le Havre and the ocean. After seeing the area I sure can understand why this place was chosen to build the defense. When going do check when the tunnels are open for public. There should be around 250 meters of tunnels."
