Very aesthetically pleasing on the Battant Front and the fortified belt of Besançon, what a genius this Vauban was.
Built between 1680 and 1684 on the Haut Battant by the engineer Montille, following Vauban's plans, it is a reduced fort. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Network of Major Vauban Sites."
