"Right opposite the Saint Bruno Bordeaux Church is this cemetery. You can walk around and admire the many cemeteries and some tragic deaths like the pair of young siblings who died in 1999."

"It's the oldest and biggest cemetery in Bordeaux. It's right across from Saint Bruno Church and it's service by Bordeaux tram line A. Upon first entrance, the main gate doorway is what remains of Couvent de la Chartreuse. This is a massive 25.7 hectares cemetery with clusters of monuments from crosses to pyramids to funerary vaults. Divided into about 61 sections, it's worth spending a fair bit of time exploring and always with respect. I found the monument to Goya and the most impressive was Sépulture Catherineau. I know it's a cemetery but it's also a stunning history of Bordeaux and a national monument. Great place to visit for all ages."
