What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Rocher Saint-Julien for its beautiful location and the quality of its via ferrata routes, especially the beginner-friendly Blue and Grey options. However, many highlight significant issues with poor signage and a lack of printed information, which can lead to navigation difficulties and confusion at route junctions. The approach trails are also noted as being narrow and sometimes in disrepair.
"Great range of Via Ferrata. Unfortunately there are no maps and printed information available. Also signage on the routes is poor. We did the New Itinerary that ended ar the start of the Blue. On towards the end of the Blue there are 2 bridges, one looks like it goes up off the Blue, and one that went downwards. Fortunately we chose the lower bridge which did finish the Blue. There was no signage for the walk back down. However the quality of the 2 routes we climbed were great."

"Very nice, and beautiful location. Did the grey and blue (comes right after each other) with my 11 year old son. He is just below 150, but blue was fine even though they recommend you are a bit taller. NB: note that the start of the black cross the end of the blue so if you don’t pay attention you might accidentally end on the black. Keep left during the decent."
