What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Relais Thalasso Bénodet offers a relaxing marine spa experience with a heated saltwater pool and ocean views, praised for its therapeutic treatments like algae wraps. However, some guests have found the facilities, particularly changing rooms and certain amenities, to be dated, not consistently clean, and overpriced for the quality. Language barriers with staff have also been noted.
"A nice spot to visit on a rainy day. It’s a little pricey for the accommodations (especially when the hammam is out of order and you are told only after paying). Otherwise, it’s a nice place to relax with a large heated saltwater pool, and some other fun additions. We enjoyed the herbal tea and nice view on the ocean in the solarium ."

"Very relaxing and enjoyable place. The sea spa is really great. I went there several times and the staff is great, the facilities are pretty nice. Massages were good. The solarium is great after a nice swimming session."

"I was there with my mother. We both went into the spa and swimming area and had a massage afterwards.
First of all, nearly non of the labours spoke English but only French. Still they tried their best despite the language problems and were really friendly.
The spa and swimming area seemed to be very nice but was way smaller than we both thought. There were only very few showers and not too many possibilities to put your bag and your bathrobe. However, this part was nice as well.
When we had our massages we both had to wait because it was said to us we had to be there at least 15 minutes before it for no reason. So we waited there standing because there were only fabric sofas so we couldn't sit down with our wet swimming suits. Furthermore, we had to wait only in our bathrobe where everybody else walked threw in their normal clothes which made us both fell very uncomfortable. But the massage afterwards was pretty nice.
All in all, it was nice staying there but I wouldn't visit it a second time for this price and that uncomfortable atmosphere which is because of the bad architecture."

Thalassotherapy Explained
Visitors can expect a range of treatments designed to target specific needs, from stress relief to muscle recovery. The use of seaweed and marine mud is common, believed to provide essential minerals and trace elements. The marine spa environment itself is designed to be calming, often featuring soothing sounds and ocean-inspired decor.
While the concept is deeply rooted in natural healing, the modern application at places like Relais Thalasso Bénodet combines these ancient practices with contemporary spa techniques. It's an opportunity to experience the revitalizing power of the sea in a structured and therapeutic setting.
Navigating the Spa Facilities
However, some guests have noted that the changing room facilities can be cramped and damp, with limited space for personal belongings and a floor that can be slippery. There have also been reports of certain amenities, such as the hammam or jacuzzi, being out of order, which can detract from the overall experience.
It's advisable to be prepared for a potentially less-than-perfectly pristine environment in some areas, as indicated by reviews. While the core spa treatments are generally well-regarded, the practical aspects of the facility's infrastructure have received mixed feedback.
Understanding the Bénodet Experience
Beyond the thalasso center, visitors can explore the local surroundings. The 'French Riviera' spirit is evoked by the famous boardwalks along Plage du Trez, suggesting a pleasant seaside promenade. This blend of natural beauty and varied cultural touches makes Bénodet a unique destination.
Relais Thalasso Bénodet aims to be a part of this broader Bénodet experience, offering a dedicated space for wellness and rejuvenation amidst the coastal charm. It's a place to disconnect and immerse oneself in the therapeutic benefits of the ocean.
