The Carlton Cannes offers a historically grand and luxurious experience with a prime location and excellent amenities like its beach club and spa. While many praise the superb service, opulent rooms, and fantastic food, some guests have encountered significant issues with billing and communication, impacting their overall satisfaction.
"We stayed at Hotel Carltone with high expectations, but unfortunately, we faced major issues with billing and communication that left a very bitter taste.
First, we were incorrectly charged €560 for a beach area we had not reserved. Fortunately, a professional and kind lady at the reception personally handled the situation and resolved it on the spot. Her involvement was the only positive part of this experience.
However, things got much worse after we checked out — over €22,000 was withdrawn from our card without our authorization.
We made more than 20 phone calls to the hotel. No one followed up for three days, and on several calls, we were hung up on or ignored. It was only after strong insistence that the money was finally refunded.
Not once did anyone apologize or show real concern.
This level of service is completely unacceptable for a hotel that claims to be high-end. I sincerely recommend that management review and replace the staff in charge of payments, as this kind of mistake and response is inexcusable.

"A fabulous experience, in a truly stunning hotel with exceptional service. The only reason for four stars is the rather brash crowd it attracts with way more money than good taste. Masses of lip filler and supercars etc. It has become a little bit of a circus rather than the classic venue it was. The food, beach club and pool were all superb. The rooms are fantastic and it is truly one of the most beautiful hotels in the world."
