Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Kercado Tumulus and Dolmen for its impressive ancient structure and the unique experience of exploring its interior passage and chamber. Many appreciate its quieter atmosphere compared to other Carnac sites, offering a more intimate historical encounter. Some note the need for a personal light source to fully appreciate the interior.

"6,500 year old burial mound with subterranean passage and chamber. Slightly off the beaten trail and away from the crowds, but highly worth a visit for a more intimate experience with the stones. There's a light in the inner chamber but a torch may be useful for additional light in the tunnel (or if you ignored the switch). Perfect height for a toddler, but adults mind your head! Free parking, 4 minutes walk, follow the signs."

Sebastian Daniels

"Excellent site. No tourists. Just pass the alley till the end, where's lot of parking space. There is/was a light inside the structure - to be sure to see something...carry a smartphone's light or a torch."

Ernst Wilhelm

"I love these sorts of things and this didn't disappoint. This site is pretty quiet compared to the main Carnac sites so is a relief from the crowds. To get here its a couple of hundred meters south of the main road to a car park, then a couple of hundred meters walk to the west."
