"A good trip ...not great. We did the 2 hour boat ride."

"We visited the Cassis Museum which combines maritime history and local art in two distinct parts.
In the archaeological part, we discovered amphorae from La Ciotat and Port-Miou, as well as ceramics from Italy and objects recovered from wrecks, notably that of the Cassidaigne reef.
In the exhibition, we appreciated the works of René Seyssaud, post-impressionist and fauvist painter, who painted Provence in colorful works: landscapes, seaside, scrubland and the Étang de Berre.
The museum presents two complementary aspects: maritime discoveries and local art, giving a good overview of the history and culture of Cassis.
Entrance to the museum is free."

"Visited a few years ago and guided by the delightful Mr. Ode, I have very fond memories of this place. A little look back at the past from time to time is very pleasant. Thank you to the town of Cassis for giving me this gift. Kind regards, FG"
