"Some very big beautiful scaley carp to fish for in this stunning water.. Be prepared for a bit of hard work and to walk long distances on some very tricky terrain in parts..
when you find where the fish are held up they can be caught pretty easily... Massive shoals constantly patrolling the margins searching for their next feast, Move after every other fish and keep a good quality bait going in, I'd come to the conclusion they have never seen a good quality bait and not use to eating a high protein food source at all.. once they come across a bed of bait they can't resist.. But once one or two are hooked they spook off, very shy and clued up fish.. Best Angling around autumn time September onwards ready for winter"

A very peaceful place, as there are very few beaches and access is quite difficult. But the lake is superb!
Note: Swimming and kayaking/paddleboarding are prohibited within 300 meters of the dam. The water is beautiful, the scenery is splendid.
There are no refreshment stands or snack bars, which limits crowds and enhances the peacefulness of the place.
I highly recommend it for those seeking tranquility and the beauty of nature!"
