If you are passionate about the history of Chambéry (and I mean truly passionate, because the city itself is rather unremarkable), I suggest you begin your visit here (and to continue with the much more interesting Savoyard Museum, located just a few streets away), because you will find here a lot of information about the city’s development, urban planning, and the notable figures who shaped its history.
If local history doesn’t particularly interest you, it’s better to save your time and simply stroll through the nearby streets.
