The intimate setting allows for closer viewing of exhibits, and the affordable ticket price, especially with the multi-museum pass, is a significant draw. "A great little museum with something for every one. Fossils, Greek historical finds from the area, the Japanese room was quite good, paintings of the area, glass, furniture, sculpture, religious artifacts. It's well arranged, and one can get closer to the paintings and displays than in a big museum. They have a deal where you buy tickets to one museum and can go to three in town for no additional money, which was nice. We did the miniatures museum and the cloitre St.-corneille as well."

"Nice small but varied museum from Mr. Vivenel own collection and other objects in various themes. Interesting Greek , Egyptian and asiatic objects can be explored. Worth stopping by if you're already in Compiègne."

"This place is a combination of french history with some of the world history.
It's quite interesting to visit and go through the eras and also to understand the evolution of humans and tools.
It will cost you 4 euros/pers and give you acces to another museum and artistic exposition. I think the price is correct"
