"Truly stunning. Far more accessible and pleasant than Rocamadour, which is heaving with tourists. The atmosphere here is calm, serene, spiritual. Well worth buying the guide to the tympanum over the main door of the church, which is a testimony to the faith and devotion to god of the generations of people who lived and worked here. In short, not to be missed. And there are plenty of facilities and eating places for visitors."

"We absolutely loved it here. Arrived early in the morning as it was 30 degrees and did a 5km hike for the best view 500 metres up. We then descended into the village, which was full of pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago, which gave a wonderful feel to the village. The village is just so pretty, uncomercialised, and free of crowds"

Wendy Corbin

"The abbey and the fully preserved medieval village are definitely worth the trip. Stopover on the northern camino to Santiago de Compostela"
