"This is the Morny Basin, also known as the Yacht Basin. When we talk about the marina, we mean the other marina, to starboard as you enter.
This one is restricted by a gate and, more importantly, by a gangway that opens regularly and automatically. Waiting for it to open when the wind is strong is not pleasant!
Once you're inside, the constraint remains for pedestrians, as you have to wait or walk around the basin to get to the restrooms or the harbor master's office (by mini-bike?).
You get used to it, and from there, you can easily walk to Deauville, Trouville, and possibly the racecourse!
