Reviews Summary

Visitors generally find the Mulot & Petitjean Gingerbread Museum to be a pleasant and informative stop, particularly for its unique tasting experience and historical insights. While some note the museum is small and can be completed quickly, the value for money, especially with the included tasting and audio guide, is frequently praised. Parking and navigation can be minor inconveniences for some.

"Short exhibition. Done in 30 minutes. The parking was a problem, they actually have enough space on grounds to allocate a couple of visitors parks which they should do since its not that busy. I wanted to like their gingerbread, I really did, but I find it very dry. If your passing go visit for 30 minutes as the AI speeches of the original founders is cool marketing."

Sarah Sissons

"Overall, the visit to the museum was very pleasant! Audio guides were provided while the information shared in the rooms (including the description of the operational stages) was comprehensible and in a user-friendly form. At the end, we were offered pieces from four different products to taste while the staff were very friendly! There is only one floor and the tour takes around 1 hour. There is also a shop with a good variety of products on offer."

Marina Daniel

"Although there really isn't an equivalent for pain d'épice in English (gingerbread feels like a misnomer especially compared to the gingerbread Americans eat), this museum/factory offers quite an exciting look at how Mulot et Petitjean was founded and the process for making the bread.

There is an entry fee of 8€ into the museum, upon which you will enter an office room and listen to the history behind the family and the factory, then you'll explore the ingredients used in the process and discover the machinery and equipment, as well as peering inside the factory through glass windows. Upon exiting, there's a small tasting of different types of bread and of course, one can't help but buy some of the delicious bread to take home.

Overall, it was a lovely experience and the audioguide was quite informative. There are only 3 rooms, so it's not that large of a museum, but if you're in Dijon and want to head away from the bustle of the city, this is a very cool exhibit to check out."
