Reviews Summary
Visitors find Château d'Eaucourt-sur-Somme to be a peaceful and historically interesting site, particularly appreciated by cyclists and those seeking a quiet stop. While some note it's primarily a ruin with reconstructions, the ongoing volunteer efforts and the charming medieval buildings are highlighted as positive aspects.
"Really only the tower remains of the chateau but within the grounds are traditional medieval wooden buildings, a little herb garden and education area. They were set up for an event over the weekend which I wish we could've stayed for. Some renovation work by volunteers can be seen on the tower. Enjoyed a peaceful sit on one of the benches with the hens clucking around."

"This chateau is a non event at the moment!!! We found the site ..by the beautiful River Somme..but it is a broken down round tower.....no not even that !! It's awaiting "renovation ".
Why one star? Well opposite the little lane to said"building"...is a layby ...and a French man was renovating said laybe . When I asked him if the building across the way was chateau eaucourt...he laughed and said that it was the "chateau "...and we had a good laugh together
Saying it was no chateau at all!!!!!
Humour transcends language!!!"
