🇫🇷 Fontaine de Vaucluse is a fascination, a natural wonder. In the cradle of Provence sits the world’s 5th largest natural spring. Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the stunning turquoise waters of the Sorgue River and the charming village atmosphere. While the inaccessibility of the spring's source due to safety concerns is a common disappointment, most agree the scenic walk and the natural beauty are still well worth the visit. Reddit+1

"People are overly dramatic when they give this a 1 star because the chasm is closed due to unstable rock fall. The town is very tiny and charming and walking along the river up to the gates is beautiful. You can have a lovely lunch on the river and the shops along the way are primarily ice cream and small souvenirs. The only reason I didn’t give this a 5 star is because you cannot get to the top, however that should not deter anyone."

Deanna Dragone

"It was a gorgeous place to visit! Although the source of the water is blocked off still, due to unstable cliffs, what we did see was amazing. Hiking up the river, seeing the beauty of it all, totally worth it. We drove 1.5 hours there and back to see it and I would recomend it to anyone. My mother was able to do the hike even using her cane. A little steep near the end, but not too bad."

Chloe Flora

"Gorgeous and primal and pristine. The cave where the spring begins was not accessible because of possible falling rocks. Nevertheless, the walk up the path accompanied by the sound of the rushing water and the visuals of nature's beauty is well worth the trip."
