What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Cordeliers Convent for its beautiful Provençal Gothic architecture and its role as a cultural hub, particularly the Artemisia Museum. However, recent reviews express disappointment regarding the neglected state of the convent garden, noting the absence of water features and dry vegetation, a stark contrast to its former glory.

"Nice museum for perfume."

"We went to the convent just after its renovation in 2014; a haven of freshness in this hot city in summer: water jets in the middle of a green lawn; we returned there in 2025: dismay: the water jets have stopped, obviously for a long time and the green space is burnt; only a few weeds remain... the tourist office did not give us a convincing explanation, between municipal decision, ecology and trampling by events or concerts: really a shame that such a magnificently renovated place is left abandoned; and the same is true of the adjoining gardens once bathed in fountains and streams and today dried out and trampled during concerts... very sad."
