Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the breathtaking panoramic views from the citadel summit, offering sweeping vistas of Forcalquier and the surrounding countryside. The chapel and bell tower add to the picturesque scenery. However, the significant uphill walk can be challenging for some, and the interior of the chapel may not always be accessible.
"We walked up to the top of the Citadell. Quite a long walk up here. (There are no cars allowed). At the top there is a large flat area, with low walls around the edge. There are very good views of the town Forcalquier, and views of the surrounding country. We were able to see the Observatoire Du Mont Chiran, where we had been the previous day.
At the top there was the Notre Dame and the standalone bell tower. Alas these were closed. We ate are picnic lunch up here."

"very beautiful chapel and a great round view and overview of Forcalquier. The way up to the chapel will be a little bit “breathtaking “ , because it goes up (I walk a lot) . For handicapped people or older persons could be a bit strong."
