Reviews Summary

Domaine du Clos des Roses offers a beautiful setting with excellent food and wine, particularly its signature rosé. While the grounds, restaurant, and tasting room are highly praised, some visitors have experienced inconsistent service, with occasional issues regarding attentiveness and staff demeanor. It's a picturesque destination that shines in its offerings but can sometimes fall short on hospitality.

"Badest wine tour I ever did! To much people, said nothing about the wine how it’s made what kind of grapes,… then the tasting 1white, 1rosé and 1red all in the same glass and again to much people so no information again about the wine because it was to loud inside. They promise a 2 hour tour but in 45min it was over.
Just a big tourist trap!

Restaurant was very good! Friendly employees and great food!"

Nicolas Lambert

"Had an amazing stay at Clos des Roses, greeted warmly by the staff who were attentive and welcoming. I booked through Groupon and upgraded the room, though I was frequently reminded of our Groupon status.

The room and food were fantastic, but service overall was extremely disappointing. We had to beg for attention to order more wine, the menu wasn’t explained, and we waited over an hour for a refill. One female staff member repeatedly took our requests but then disappeared without fulfilling them.

The following morning, we were greeted unwelcomingly. The host rolled her eyes at simple requests like tea and jam. When I requested an iron, two staff members brought it up without greeting us and made the exchange without any courtesy.

While language might have been a barrier, I made sure to express my gratitude politely, but I still felt that my requests were treated as burdens.

Overall, the location, food, and facilities were excellent, but most of the staff were moody, rude, and unwelcoming. I'm open to discussing this experience with management."

Ashley Mukuku

"Great food and lovely service. Setting is beautiful. Only negative points were that it was very noisy on the terrace due to a very noisy industrial aircon. Also beware to check the bill. They try to charge us 2 times for the wine, water and coffee."
