What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Honfleur's charm is undeniable, with many praising its picturesque harbor, historic architecture, and artistic atmosphere. Visitors often highlight the delicious seafood and Norman cuisine, as well as the value found in fixed-price menus. However, some reviews mention inconsistent service, with a few diners experiencing rudeness, and occasional concerns about hygiene or food temperature.
"Probably the best kids’ menu in town – a proper hamburger with fries and even an ice cream sundae, really great value! The fixed-price main courses are also excellent: both the chicken and the tartare were very good choices. It’s a small and friendly place, definitely worth a visit."

"Fantastic place to taste Normandie food in Honfleur. Perfect atmosphere. The best beef selected from local suppliers. Best steaks. The owner is best advisor for a gourmet meal. Reasonable prices."

"Avoid this! Very unpolite and rude waiter (I suspect he is the owner, no way it is the waiter who is orientated for clients top service) I have ever experienced. When we came, he through the table servettes to us, very rude attitude, the feeling i get like i own him 100 euro or something attitude. Then he just avoided us, came to other clients first, and I personally do not like places when I feel not welcomed and passive aggressive attitude by the waiter (why the hell you are working with people if you hate clients so much), how he looked at us, arrogant answers, and etc. Moreover his friends were eating chips from supermarket on the table next to us, lots of bags were on the table self that gave me a vibe of a snack place rather than a quality restaurant etc. I wanted to have a relaxed lunch in a good atmosphere restaurant and not all of this. All over together i felt maybe he did not like asian customers or something like that but it is not my problem. And i suggested my man to leave this place. And omg i was right about my feeling!!! Turned out to be the best decision of the day. life experience served me a favor 😂, where I get already guts feeling when something is not right 🥹 you would wonder, what at the point could go wrong, but he started cursed me in my back: "crazy", "you are crazy" when we were leaving. Really happened! Old grown man cursed in our back as a baby who did not get a candy. It is a free country, the people may leave if they want, which might be a very shock for him. We did not order anything, I saw myself that things are happened with other people, they leave if they do not like. Never ever I heard cursed in their back by the waiter😂 I am wondering if he is agressive by so little, how quicky he ranges when there is really something that worth attention. Totally unprofessional!! When respect is not served, I do not want to support such places. We went to other restaurant Bistro Du Port, and that what the good service means. Very polite and nice people are working there. This L'Enclos is really exceptional 🤢 hygiëne has also the quality as expected, the bad smell was not to hide. I read here also reviews from people who complains that respect is there not served, but you need to be really blind not to see it. I see that the waiter is the only right there, what really you can smell from far. The action is of a small human, not even one decent man acts like this. I am sure I am not the only client and not the last one who complaints about this. Hope he will work on himself to respect people, but at the same time I do not think he in his old age would be of any change. So people - tourists, if you want Honfleur has a decent face and memory for you, avoid this at all cost!!!"
