What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Pic Blanc hotel garners praise for its excellent staff, delicious food, and prime ski-in/ski-out location. However, some guests find it to be very expensive for the quality of rooms and amenities, with extra charges for spa access and potential inconsistencies in phone booking service. Despite these drawbacks, many highlight the positive experiences with the attentive staff and the enjoyable dining options.
"Extremely poor service trying to book over the phone. I received radically different quotes for a room between 9pm and 11.30pm as
I was trying to align a stopover hotel on route.
I received a fair room quote for a family of 4 at 9pm and when i called back later to confirm the booking, a different employee answered the service desk and was rude, gave a ridiculous room price compared to the original and hung up on me twice when I tried to call back. We changed our plans and went somewhere else last minute. Pitty as we were looking forward to it."

"We chose this hotel for a 6-day ski holiday. We were really pleased. Even the 5 points I gave for the attention of the reception staff would not be enough. They deserve more. They did everything they could to please us. The cocktails were incredibly delicious. The waiters were very attentive and helpful. I would like to thank the hotel staff very much. The hotel management has created a very, very successful staff. We had a set menu dinner at the hotel for 2 days. The food was incredibly delicious. I would like to thank the chef here. I strongly recommend it to everyone. There is no chance that you will leave this hotel satisfied."

"Excellent employees and service but very expensive for the quality of the room and some amenities. The included breakfast was very nice. €20 euro to use the jacuzzi is quite high and should be included in the price. The pool needs cleaning and maintenance. At over €400 per night I would expect better quality. Great location just a short walk from the lifts / restaurants / shopping. Overall a nice place. The TV was not a smart TV so when relaxing at night after skiing all day you couldn’t queue up a movie. Not a big deal but would have been a nice touch. I’d stay again but hopefully get a better rate next time."

Navigating Ski Access and Gear
For those planning to hit the slopes, it's advisable to check the operating hours of the ski lifts and purchase ski passes in advance, especially during peak season, to avoid potential queues. While the hotel itself doesn't typically sell ski passes, the proximity to the lifts makes acquiring them straightforward at the resort's ticket offices or online. Remember to factor in the time needed to get to the lifts and prepare your gear each morning.
Hotel Amenities and Value
While the service from the employees is generally lauded as excellent and attentive, the value proposition can be debated. Some reviewers suggest that for the price point (over €400 per night), certain aspects like room maintenance or the inclusion of all spa facilities could be improved. The lack of a smart TV in rooms was also noted as a minor inconvenience for evening relaxation. Despite these points, many guests express a willingness to return, often hoping for a better rate on a future stay.
Booking and Customer Service
It's recommended to either book well in advance to secure preferred rates and availability or to be prepared to confirm details multiple times. The disparity in service experiences highlights the importance of clear communication and potentially seeking written confirmation of bookings to avoid misunderstandings. While the on-the-ground service is often praised, the initial booking phase might require extra diligence from potential guests.
