Reviews Summary

Massif de Balme is praised as an excellent ski area, especially for advanced skiers, with challenging runs and stunning Mont Blanc views. It's also noted for its late-season snow. Some visitors find certain blue runs tricky for snowboarding and suggest lift upgrades. Beginners are often directed to the main La Clusaz side.

"Good ski area - the last part open late in the season. There is a navette from the main town or possible to connect via the lifts. Excellent long black run down on the right side accessed from the button lift.."

Andy Powell

"Probably the best ski area nearby. But be aware that the normal vagueness of ski run denotation applies. Some blues are nothing more than very flat roads requiring lots of pushing (boarders beware) and red-run-avoiders would be alarmed by some of the nominally blue runs' steepness.
2 x chair lifts are slow and badly in need of updating to increase capacity. But the solo rider lane is a good addition."

Mark Williams

"It's a wanted ski area with good organized support. Beautiful apartments and 😋 restaurants."

David Schneider
