Ils étaient des milliers à grimper au col de la Loze. Mais à peine une poignée à rester jusqu’au bout. Dès que les favoris ont franchi la ligne, j’ai vu des centaines de spectateurs plier bagage. Visitors rave about the Col de la Loze's challenging cycling routes and spectacular 360-degree mountain views, especially from the Méribel side. The atmosphere during the Tour de France is described as electric, making it a must-do for cyclists. However, the extreme difficulty of the climb and unpredictable mountain weather are noted drawbacks.

"Reached from Courchevel La Tania by funicular. What can I say? The atmosphere was fantastic during the queen stage of the Tour de France."

Samuele De Gaetano

"Must do for every cyclists. Wonderful climb from the Méribel side."

Patrick Burki

"The Meribel side is THE HARDEST road cycling climb in the Alpes. Narrow and all too often super, super steep, there is nothing like it in France. You have nowhere to go. No matter how good you are, it will break you!! However, the challenge, absence of motor traffic, the views and the connection to Le Tour is why you do it.

In the winter, it’s a totally different place. A crossing point for the 3 Vallées with great views and a restaurant.

Watched the 2023 Tour up here, when Pogi got dropped. The best day at a bike race ever. The crowd and atmosphere were electric. Vive la France!!!"
