"This museum is a hidden gem and Thomas it's guide (who speaks impeccableEnglish), is a mine of fascinating information and knowledge!
Louis Jou created engravings, typography and painted book bindings similar in style to William Morris. Thomas showed us a beautifully intricate original book face, that was stunning. My husband and I were lucky enough to see how the 150 year old press works and Thomas kindly allowed me to print a card from an engraving.
I sincerely hope the workshop is opened permanently, as it is a delight and Thomas is an extremely kind, engaging and worthy host."

"This is a gem of a museum! Printing being a lost art here is presented in Louis Jou’s studio and his beautiful Provençal home in the middle of Les Baux. It is being renovated but will open soon. The studio is often opened and charming!"

"A little gem awaits you in this medieval and Provençal setting. The workshop of Louis Jou, an engraver and printer who left an indelible mark on Les Baux de Provence, opens its doors to you to discover his world. Authentic engravings on different types of media, presses still functional with all the surrounding equipment, we take a big leap in time to discover a forgotten name who nevertheless rubbed shoulders with the greatest of his time, like Apollinaire. A big thank you and congratulations to Christine for her welcome, her transmission and her involvement. This allowed us to return a second time at the end of the day and contemplate treasures hidden in the back of the shop as VIPs. We therefore thank the gentleman whose first name we unfortunately did not ask but who exceptionally opened his treasure chest for passersby like us. Because access to this magical place is free and without reservation, go for it! Hoping that the name Jou may endure and prosper!"
