What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Stade du Moustoir for its excellent ticket prices and the vibrant atmosphere during FC Lorient matches and the Festival Interceltique. The good sight lines are a plus, though some find the seating narrow and lacking back support. The ability to drink pitch-side is a unique feature, but rain shelter near the pitch is limited.
"Visited as part of the Interceltique Festival and enjoyed a wonderful programme.
Sight lines and sound quality were both great but we found the seats both narrow and lacking in back support for the almost 3 hour show."

"Went for an evening game. Parking nearby is restricted but we found a street less than 10 minutes walk away to leave the car in. Pretty standard stadium experience although unlike in the UK you can drink pitch side (The bars sell plastic glasses for 1 Euro which is refundable if you return them). Rows near the pitch aren't fully sheltered from the rain. We were supporting the home team - the away section is a tiny standing terrace in one corner and didn't look like much fun for the (very) few away fans who turned up."

The Stade du Moustoir Experience
Beyond football, the stadium is a significant cultural hub, notably hosting the annual Festival Interceltique de Lorient. This event transforms the venue into a vibrant space for music, dance, and cultural exchange, attracting a diverse audience.
Practical considerations include parking, which can be challenging on match days, and seating comfort, which some find to be narrow with limited back support. However, the overall value for money and the unique blend of sporting and cultural events make it a worthwhile visit for many.
Match Day Logistics and Fan Culture
The atmosphere on match days is a significant draw, with over 10,000 fans often creating a lively environment. While the first half of games can sometimes be quieter due to external influences, the second half often sees the stadium 'rocking.' It's worth noting that the away section is a compact standing terrace, which might not appeal to larger traveling fan groups.
For those accustomed to UK football experiences, the French approach offers a different, often more budget-friendly, perspective on attending live games. The value proposition, especially with ticket prices around €7, is frequently highlighted by visitors.
