"We came for a second visit after running of time on our first trip. The gardens are spectacular and the priory has some nice exhibition spaces. Give yourself at least an afternoon to walk around. We visited in May and it was a pleasure to see the trees and flower and a mass of wildlife and insects."

"Beautiful gardens with vast variety of different types of flowers, plants and herbs. Very relaxing. Not busy."
Boguslaw Bonczak
"The gardens has plantings from the Provence area, and traditional herbal garden plants for medical purposes. There is another large garden laid out with plants from the world. So potatoes and maize would be in the Americas. This was very interesting as so many 'modern' vegetables imported and in the supermarkets grow on totally unrecognisable plants. This was an education.
The guide to the site was on a mobile phone guide, which in principle sounded good. The guide knew where you were, and you could listen to the narrative in several languages. Alas in practice it did not work very well."
