What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the thrilling yet stable suspension bridge and the breathtaking valley views. The free access and available parking are major pluses. While the walk up is a bit of a climb, the experience is widely considered worth the effort. Some found the medieval village of Hautpoul quiet, especially outside peak season.
"Easy parking at the bottom for our motorhome, €3 for the day. Two routes to the top, the beginning of the red route had us puffing like steam trains, but it was worth it for the view. Had our two dogs with us and they crossed the metal bridge without hesitation. At the very top are a few restaurants, where you can get a meal, drink or ice-cream and some public toilets."
Claudia Maris
"You must walk a bit up the hill to reach the passerelle, but it’s manageable for most. And the passage and view is worth the effort!! The passage itself is not difficult: the bridge does literally not move in the wind and it is not very wide - still quite high. And it’s free!
On the other side (after climbing a bit more) you reach Hautpoul, also totally worth a visit. With the visit of the medieval village it takes way more than an hour, but who’s in a hurry? And the way back is just going down, so easy peasy."
Pedro Antunes
"Excellent walk and climb across the suspension bridge. Lovely small village at top with a few restaurants and bars."
