The site is praised for its excellent value, friendly staff, and dog-friendly policy, making it a highly recommended stop for D-Day enthusiasts. Some minor noise disruptions from groundskeeping have been noted, but overall, it's considered a jewel of Normandy's historical attractions.
"A real dive into life in a gun battery, lots of exhibits and multimedia explanations. The Dakota is an awesome exhibit and its history absolutely mind blowing.
Very reasonably priced and with friendly helpful staff.
Dog friendly (on leads of course) which is a bonus when you’re travelling with 3 chihuahuas!"

"This museum is very interesting and is dog friendly which was great. Fun indoors and outdoors, great exhibits. You should go.
However, the mowing/weed whip crew was there when we arrived and was so loud I couldn't really hear the videos and the grass really wasn't very long. I really think the museum should consider contracting for reel type mowers towed by electric vehicles and letting the grass get slightly longer. With scattered wild flowers and reasonably short grass it actually looked better when we arrived than when the mowing crew left."
Nate Aaron
"Historic and extremely interesting trip to see the bunkers here. Lots of interesting info and virtual sounds and experiences of how it must have felt for the men who were part of the capture of this battery. You will have the chance to go inside a Dakota Aircraft and experience exactly how it was for the para’s awaiting their drop zone. Prices are available online and can be paid on entry to the museum."
