Les voitures garées sur les trottoirs ou à cheval sur les pistes cyclables sont monnaie courante. « C’est horrible », déplorent Beyza-Nur, Sheima et Odelia, trois étudiantes. Pour tr...

"Joseph Kgraft and Ignes Kinserin, along with their son Franz, were one of many families seeking a better future outside their homeland of Metz. They left in 1768 for the land known by propaganda as The Port of Happiness, in northern Andalusia (Spain), in the heart of the Sierra Morena. They received land in the village of El Acebuchar, Lots 14, 35, and 36, during the reign of Charles III. Misfortune overtook them early with the death of their son Franz, just three years old, shortly after their arrival, on August 29, 1768. They would later have another son, named Joseph, whom they married to Salomé Rust. On September 27, 1789, Joseph Kgraft was buried in the Carboneros cemetery. A few months after his death, needing help to support her son and farm the land, his widow, Ignes Kinserin, remarried Jacob Fischer on December 22, 1789. Their marriage lasted 12 years, leaving her widowed again.
Ignes's fortitude allowed her to live beyond 100 years. She died in El Acebuchar.
The towns and villages that now exist in the area were built through the efforts of settlers from Alsace and surrounding lands; settlers who managed to transform inhospitable mountain lands into cultivated fields with their own hands.
This review is in recognition."
