"This is a must-see in Metz. It's unlike any church I've ever seen. It's stunning inside and out. On a Saturday afternoon i practically had the place to myself. It was a profound experience being in this space. I love the entire atmosphere the architecture and lighting creates. It's only a few minutes walk from the train station. I encourage everyone to visit."
Sean Douglas
"Although designed in the 1930s, construction was delayed by WW2. The Église Sainte-Thérèse was eventually inaugurated in 1954. Sadly, the imposing exterior has not aged very well. The interior is very impressive. The stained-glass accentuates the vaulted roof structure and surrounds the interior with shafts of light and colour. Quite remarkable. Furniture and decoration appear mostly in keeping with the building's Art déco origins. A fundraising campaign is underway to pay for essential restoration work."
