"It is great to walk along the river to the botanical gardens from the city center. There are a lots of 1910's period buildings along the route to enjoy. Walking down the river to the botanical garden you will enter through the rose garden where the public toilets are located.
In the center of the garden there is a greenhouse that contains tropical and exotic plants from various regions of the world. The greenhouse has sections based on climate. There are the equatorial, Mediterranean, arid and tropical sections.
The botanical garden has some amazing plants growing that flower up until August. There is a small bistro for refreshments and a play area for the kids and a birdhouse with a small selection of birds.
