She was build in 1955 and modernized in 1967. She's a museum since 1988. I had a great time visiting it, it was very interesting. There are many photos of various French Navy ships, explanation... . If you are French, I strongly recommend going to visit it.

"The guided tour lasted over two hours and was conducted in French, but the guide also spoke English and was very kind in answering our questions. We were given a roughly 10page booklet that followed the entire tour. It was an incredible experience to learn about the history of the ship and how a destroyer operates. I didn’t feel claustrophobic, but visitors with mobility issues should note that it’s not fully accessible, especially if you want to visit the engine rooms, which require climbing down a very steep set of steps. Tip: turn around and descend facing the stairs for safety. The souvenir shop was charming, with reasonable prices. Be sure to check in advance how often tours run during the month of your visit. You are only able to visit along the tour. This attraction is also included in the Nantes Pass."

We were there for over two hours but it didn't feel all that long. The tour was in French, although there was an English guide book if you don't speak the language.
