"This is to me is the most beautiful example of humility and what it means to be saint, aren’t we all just instrument in the hands of God - using our gift to help other see Him better ?
St Bernadette help me to maintain my humility and not putting attention on my self 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻"

"Seeing the body of St Bernadette was an awe inspiring experience! The chapel is simple but well maintained. There are always beautiful flowers beside her coffin. If you stay at the residence there, you have easy access to visit the chapel early in the morning and late into the evening. The doors to the main building are locked around 8pm to the public, but you can come and go as you are given an access code for the keypad. The room was clean and had a water closet which included a shower. The service was very good. The lady who helped us check in spoke English and gave us a map of Nevers when we asked about a laundromat and showed us where we could find one. Paying for a room includes breakfast but there is an additional cost for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was simple fare like cereal, bread, and fruit, which was quite adequate for our needs. We did not eat there for lunch or dinner as we wanted to explore Nevers itself and find some locally spots to try. The location of the residence is walking distance from the train station which is very convenient to caught the train from Paris. It is also very peaceful there. There are tourists dropping in but not like the masses of people on Lourdes. It is definitely a place to go if on a pilgrimage and for recollection."

"Being able to stay in a place where it was once a convent and the motherhouse of the Sisters of Charity of Nevers is truly a very blessed experience.
The place is very solemn. It’s off peak season and there’s no crowd (Jan) You have the whole place to yourself with more quiet time for meditation on the life of Saint Bernadette who spent 13 years here. You have full time access to the chapel to spend time with Saint Bernadette even after it’s closed to the public. The room is simple and clean. Garden ground is huge to discover in your own time.
You can stay here with full board meals.
Carpark space on the ground is great.
I’ll definitely stay here again if I come back to Nevers in future.
- best to book the rooms with Espace Bernadette, write them an email!"
