What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Les Halles de Nîmes, calling it a 'fantastic market' and a 'paradise for lovers of good products.' The incredible variety of fresh, local food, from seafood and meats to cheeses and pastries, is a major draw. The lively atmosphere and friendly vendors add to the authentic experience, though some note that not all stalls are open on slower days.
"Wonderful market with a large variety of choices. Fishmongers, butchers, charcuterie, local specialties such as brandade, rouille, alioli, Camargue rice, cheeses, ground coffee, olives and tapenades, baked goods, fresh pasta and of course fruit and veg, are plentiful. There are a couple of places to eat as well. Best to go later in the week if you want to see everybody open, but even on slower days you can find a plethora of good stuff."
