What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mian Fan offers a mixed bag, with many praising its flavorful Asian fusion dishes like the Ji Pai Fan and dim sum. However, consistent complaints about poor service and subpar restroom facilities detract from the overall experience for some diners.
"Asian fusion place. We ordered the Ji Pai Fan - fried chicken over fried rice was good. Oyakodon- chicken with raw egg over rice was not good. The rice was mushy. Skip this one. We also got the dimsum. Again avoid ordering this. The wrapper was tough as well as the filling. Tasted a bit weird. As for the atmosphere sorry to say it was not nice or welcoming at all."

"Had the CHIC BUN – absolutely fantastic! The food was fresh, tasty, and great in quality. However, the service could be improved. The waitress didn’t greet or thank us, and wasn’t very engaging or helpful with suggestions. It would have made the experience much warmer with a friendly approach. Also, the toilet facilities need attention — no soap, hand dryer, or tissues available. Overall, 5 stars for food, but 2 stars for service and facilities."

"Only eat here if you’re absolutely desperate — and even then, stick to the crispy chicken spicy rice (ji pan fan), because it’s the only thing that seemed remotely reliable.
The service is genuinely unpleasant, almost like they don’t want you to be there. The only decent part of the experience was the male waiter, and even then, all he did was take the order; after that, you’re on your own. Tables were dirty, and the bathroom had a noticeably bad smell that made the whole visit even more unappetizing.
I received the most overcooked beef dumplings I’ve ever had. I still can’t understand how you manage to burn dumplings that are supposed to be steamed. It felt like a complete disregard for the basics of the cuisine.
Honestly, go anywhere else. This place was a disappointment from start to finish."
