Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Plage de la Hoguette for its cleanliness, ample space, and accessibility, especially at low tide. It's a versatile beach perfect for relaxation, sports, and enjoying scenic sunsets over Saint-Malo. Some note seasonal dog restrictions.
"Real sand beach. The place is clean, not too crowded and easily accessible by car (parking palaces are free of charge).
The place offers great evening pictures of the sunset over Saint-Malo ."

"Really clean, not too crowded because the beach is large when the sea is low tide.
Thus you have plenty of space to play rackets, walke your dog, take a bath of sun, swim, picnic or play Molki (kind of bowling but it can be played almost everywhere though).
Nb. According to the tourism office website (03/2019), dogs are not allowed from 1st of April > 30th of September on the beach.
The beach goes from the suburbs to the city and then goes around the city.
Worth it."

Conversely, high tide significantly reduces the available beach area. While still beautiful, it's less conducive to the wide range of activities possible during low tide. Some TikTok videos showcase powerful waves, even reaching streets during extreme weather, highlighting the dynamic nature of the sea in this region. Always be aware of the sea's power and heed any safety warnings.
