"Extremely disappointed... Restaurant booked nearly a year in advance specifically for our honeymoon. When we arrived we were not sat at the table we expected. I raised this with the waiter who called a senior waitress/maitre D. My wife explained but we were informed very brashly that the seating plan would not be changed. From that moment she basically acted like my wife didn't exist. When I pointed out the broken glass and the overcooked pasta I received the same treatment: curt answers, ignoring us, talking to us with her back turned, as well as pointed remarks aimed at us whilst serving the neighbouring table. Thoroughly unprofessional service to the tune of 350 EUR.
The food was refined and very tasty (barring the pasta and the bread) and the view was lovely, but the entire experience was poisoned by the lack of professionalism of the staff.
I will not be returning, I don't recommend that you do either."

"We have been a few times to the Belvedere for dinner, and been extremely impressed in the past, but this meal didn’t live up to expectations. Firstly, they refused to serve us carafe water (insisting that we drink their filtered water €3 euros per litre bottle). We were then told that we either all had to get menus, or none of us could get menus. Some of the food was fantastic (ceviche de daurade, carpaccio de thon), some was very good (grilled octopus, entrecôte, agneau), but the bread they brought to the table was stale and their roasted potatoes almost burnt. We were looking for a sans-faute, and this was not what we got…"
